Diabetes Awareness & Insulin Administration
The Diabetes & Insulin Awareness Course provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of diabetes, including its causes, symptoms, and the challenges it presents in daily life. Participants will learn how to recognise the signs of hypo- and hyperglycaemia and how to assist individuals in managing the condition. The course also includes hands-on practice with a glucometer for blood glucose monitoring.
Designed primarily for health and care staff, the Diabetes Awareness & Insulin Administration Course covers all the topics from the Diabetes & Insulin Awareness course, with a particular focus on insulin management. Delegates will gain practical experience in using insulin pen devices during the training and will be provided with a competency record form to complete in the workplace. This form requires delegates to demonstrate insulin administration under supervision until they are deemed competent by their employer.
