MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
This course is for care and health staff working within mental health settings. The training identifies types of mental illness and the associated difficulties that these present. Delegates will learn about the nature and causes of mental illnesses leading on to an understanding of behaviours and how to approach working with those they care for.
A mental illness or disorder is characterised as a clinically significant behavioural or psychological pattern that occurs in an individual and is usually associated with distress, disability or increased risk of suffering.
