Tier 1 part 2, 1 hour live webinar
Designed for staff who require a general awareness of how to support autistic people and people with a learning disability, this live online session builds on the Part 1 e-learning and must be completed to fulfil the Tier 1 requirement. The session is co-delivered by a facilitating trainer and an expert by experience, bringing the learning to life through real-world insight and interactive discussion.
Tier 2 part 2, 1 day face-to-face training
This statutory training fulfils the legal requirements of the Oliver McGowan Code of Practice, which came into force on 6 September 2025. It is mandatory for all CQC-registered providers to ensure client-facing staff complete Learning Disability and Autism (LD&A) training that meets the four national standards.
Delivered by a three-person team — a lead trainer alongside two co-trainers with lived experience of autism and learning disability respectively — this full-day session equips health and social care staff with the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide safe, compassionate and inclusive support. Developed within the Health Education England framework, it is the government's recommended training package for meeting legal duties under the Health and Care Act 2022.
